WRT Map Project
A few people are working on the creation of a map indicating the street trees of Whalley Range. The first motivation is to have a comprehensive picture of the existing tree stock and the impact of the proposed felling and replanting plans.
A bonus is that the people involved get to know more about the streets and trees by looking at them in detail. If you want to join in the work, get in touch with the wrtrees group.
We're going to use this topic to monitor the collection of tree-location data throughout the ward. The first objective is to get each road logged and the details added to our first draft tree map. After that, we will be looking to add more detail.
